Custom Embroidery Digitizing Services

Not every design fits neatly into "logo" or "patch." Maybe it's detailed line art, a hand-drawn illustration, custom lettering, or a design with gradients and fine detail that needs a digitizer who actually pays attention — not a template. That's what custom digitizing is for. We take whatever artwork you send us and build a stitch file from scratch, matched to your fabric, placement, and machine.

What Makes a Design Custom

If your design has small text, fine detail, shading, overlapping elements, or anything that a basic auto-digitizing tool would turn into a blob of stitches, it needs a custom job. We manually map out stitch direction, density, and underlay for each part of the design so detail doesn't get lost once it's on fabric — something automated software still can't do reliably.

Common Custom Digitizing Requests:

  • Detailed illustrations and line art
  • Custom lettering and script fonts
  • Portraits and photo-based designs
  • Multi-layer designs with shading or gradients
  • Designs with fine detail under 1/4 inch

Built for Any Fabric, Any Placement

A design that sews clean on a flat polo won't always sew clean on a structured cap, terry cloth towel, or stretch fabric — the stitch settings have to change with the material. When you order, tell us the fabric and placement (left chest, cap front, jacket back, sleeve, etc.) and we'll digitize specifically for that combination, not a generic one-size file.

  • Apparel — T-shirts, polos, jackets, hoodies
  • Caps & Hats — Structured and unstructured
  • Bags & Accessories — Canvas, nylon, leatherette
  • Specialty Fabrics — Terry cloth, fleece, stretch knits

Frequently Asked Questions

What file formats do you accept for custom digitizing?

Any format works — JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, or even a photo of a printed design. We'll clean it up on our end if needed.

How long does custom digitizing take?

Most custom designs are delivered within 24 hours. More complex or highly detailed designs may take longer — we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.

Can you digitize a design from a photo, not just vector art?

Yes. We regularly digitize from photos, screenshots, and low-quality scans — vector art helps but isn't required.

Do you offer revisions if the stitch-out doesn't look right?

Yes, revisions are included at no extra charge until the file sews the way you need it to.

Have a Design That Needs a Careful Hand?

Send it over and we'll tell you exactly what it'll take to get it stitch-ready.
